Wyoming has passed a bill in 2010 and is seeking to pass a stricter law against any federal agents enforcing federal gun laws
Wyoming lawmakers have proposed a new bill that, if passed, would nullify any federal restrictions on guns, threatening to jail federal agents attempting to confiscate guns, ammunition magazines or ammunition.
The bill – HB0104 – states that “any federal law which attempts to ban a semi-automatic firearm or to limit the size of a magazine of a firearm or other limitation on firearms in this state shall be unenforceable in Wyoming.”
The bill is sponsored by eight Wyoming state representatives ad two state senators. If passed, the bill would declare any federal gun regulation created on or after January 1, 2013 to be unenforceable within the state. To read more click here.
They have also passed a law back in 2010 that threatens the feds with up to $2000 in fine and up to 2 years in jail. To read more about the law that has already been enacted go here.
It’s time for states to rise up and take a stand against the feds who seek to make it more difficult for law abiding citizens to defend themselves. Let’s rise up and put the feds in there rightful place. As servants to we the people.

AMEN!
washington and colorado are already challenging federal laws.
LOL, a little backwards, but they can pass any law they can get a vote on! Good luck with enforcing it. This place is amusing!
I think Wyoming is on to something here. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Street drugs are illegal and our streets are rife with dealers and pushers. It is illegal to drink under 21 and minors are arrested time and time again. Laws do not stop people from breaking them. The USA does not have a gun control issue. We have a societal issue. We glorify law breakers and criminals, depict violence in entertainment so much that we are desensitized to it. Gun control will not stop violence. All it will do is create an unarmed, defenseless populace who will then be at the true mercy of armed criminals, thugs, thrives and perhaps worse, eventually. We should look at other countries who have enacted these types of laws… how are Australia and the UK faring? Before we let our emotions rule our judgement, perhaps some true research, education and intelligent non-biased discussion is warranted.
we need this an the state of Tn , but in all states
“That seems to be what it takes with some people” – John Wayne. Now I understand what you mean “Wyoming, its not for everyone” its for those who are citizens not subjects.
A GIANT HOO RAH! FOR WYOMING… AT LEAST THEY HAVE THE SENSE TO UNDERSTAND WHY OUR FOREFATHERS PUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN THE CONSTITUTION..IT WAS PUT THERE TO STOP PEOPLE LIKE ADOLPH FROM DISARMING THE PEOPLE IN ORDER TO FORCE THEM INTO BOWING DOWN AND DOING THE BIDDING OF TYRANTS. OUR GOVERNMENT WAS CREATED TO BE A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE,BY THE PEOPLE,AND FOR THE PEOPLE… NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND AS THEY WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE–PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION…AGAIN THUMBS UP TO WYOMING!!!!!!!
This is just ridiculous. State law does not supersede Federal law so you can’t make it illegal for a Fed to be doing their job in your state. This seems like a knee-jerk reaction to POSSIBLE national gun legislation that hasn’t even been discussed yet!
Responsible gun owners shouldn’t have a problem with some tighter gun laws. And people who think the feds will try to confiscate everyone’s guns are just overreacting. Tightening gun laws does not mean taking away all guns. No one has proposed to do that or would, in their right mind. I mean seriously, who is going to sign up to be part of the group that goes door-to-door collecting guns???
And Wyoming wonders why it has a reputation for being such a joke…sigh.
You have no idea of where true power lies.
Possible? Might? This IS being discussed and acted upon right now. Wake up! Chipping away at our constitutional rights is not acceptable. I come from a state where it is nearly impossible to get a carry permit, and gun laws are pretty strict. The result? Gangs, thugs, drive bys shootings, drugs, rape, assaults, violence. These crimes are perpetrated by criminals who have no problem gaining access to guns…yet I can not have one for self defense. The President who says guns are bad and need to be off the streets walks around in a crowd of armed men everywhere he goes. He has dozens of armed men hovering around him carrying guns. Don’t you think it is a bit hypocritical to depend on armed men for your safety yet think you are the only person in the country who is worthy of that security? That depending on responsible, trained, gun carry for his self defense is acceptable but the American Citizens should not be allowed the same right?
Again, guns are not he problem. People are the problem. If you think people wouldn’t be violent if guns were off the streets, I say you are deluded. Try telling that to the local judges mother, who came home and found a man had broken into her home in broad daylight and was rifling through her belongings. A man who then used not a gun but a FRYING PAN to beat her to death.
There is a bigger picture here. Passing laws which infringe upon the 2nd amendment make it easier to further limit the Constitutional Rights of the American citizens in the future.
And there needn’t be a group who goes around collecting guns. However, it would be easy (and not improbable) to issue an Executive Order and make owning a firearm a criminal offense. Don’t think that could happen? Have you ever heard of Executive Order 6102? Enacted in 1933, it made owning more than a small amount of gold a criminal offense. Guess what good, law abiding citizens did? They handed over their gold to the government, accepting an exchange rate of $20.67 per troy ounce. Once the government had everyone’s gold, they raised the value to $35.00 per troy ounce, effectively netting itself 2.8 billion made off of the backs of the good, law abiding American citizens. Oh, and people who were not good, law abiding American Citizens? They moved their gold to Swiss bank accounts and made a huge profit.
So if you think the government would have to create a task force to confiscate guns you are sorely mistaken. You are only an Executive Order from having your rights stripped away. From being a good, honest, hardworking person, standing in line to hand over your legally obtained, responsibly owned and properly registered firearms, and your Constitutional Rights along with them. Guess who won’t be standing in that line with you? Criminals.
really ur right that’s why in cali they were able to pass medical bud and when the feds tried to stop it they failed state law does beat out fed law for that state and yes they are trying to take ur guns away and responsible gun owners need to stop them no they won’t go door to door but when they stop selling guns it won’t be long before confiscation and generational ignorance that leave potential responsible gun owners unarmed without even the option anyone that thinks this is going to affect them within the next few years is kidding themselves the gun activist know they can’t remove firearms right now they are looking ahead trying to plan over 10-20 or 50 years no gun laws won’t affect our generation much and most laws don’t it’s the future generations that loose out on rights they didn’t even know they had so nothing to miss pull ur head out of ur ass and look ahead not to hard if u just take a sec and look behind ask an older person what rights and privileges they enjoyed that our future generations won’t even know they ever had access to
I bet that is what the people under the reign of Hitler said. It all started with the registration, then they know what you have so they can take it from you.
Need this in all states, nullify the idiots trying to take our rights.

WAY TO GO WYOMING
Outstanding, Wyoming!! While California and Washington state are ignoring federal law by legalizing dope and ignoring the Constitution, Wyoming is upholding the Constitution by being mentally prepared to defend our 2nd amendment rights. I can only hope that the rest of the sane states follow this example and send this very appropriate message to those who need to be reminded of it.
I’ve heard nothing in regular media about psychiatric drugs causing these rampages. The drug concerns are owned by the same nexus pushing for gun control, UN rule, opposing gold and silver as money, refusing to seal the border with Mexico, and want to attack Iran. Yes, it’s “The Pilgrims Society,” and these Wall Streeters have your President in their vest pocket! See start page at site linked, scroll down till you see document dated 1969. Be fair, with hold judgment till you’ve seen the information. There is no charge for access.
